Garlic Scape & Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • *** For the pesto

  • 2 cups fresh basil

  • 2 cups Chopped garlic scapes

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1/2 cup Toasted pine nuts

  • 1/2 cup Freshly grated Parmesan

  • 1/2 lemon Lemon juice

  • 2/3 cup Extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp (1/2 teaspoon) Salted herbs

  • To taste Pepper

Preparation

  1. 1. Pesto (Preparation) In a food processor, combine the basil, garlic scapes, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan, and lemon juice.

  2. 2. Blend until smooth.

  3. 3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture reaches a smooth, even texture. Add the salted herbs and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use. Enjoy!
