The distribution of fraudulent e-mails (phishing*) is a technique used with the intention to reroute funds by usurping well-established company identities. To do so, authentic looking e-mails are sent by counterfeiters to retrieve personal information from the recipients.
To protect customers, Olive & Olives insists on informing you that no such e-mail will ever be sent to you requesting personal information such as your address, date of birth or credit card number.

*In computing, phishing is a criminal activity using social engineering techniques. Phishers attempt to fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Phishing is typically carried out by email or instant messaging, and often directs users to give details at a Web site, although phone contact has been used as well.
