Pasta with Grilled Asparagus and Lemon Flavoured Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus

  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil (for grilling)

  • Pasta for four (16 oz)

  • Lemon flavoured extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)

  • Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat grill on high, direct heat.

  2. 2. Prepare the asparagus by breaking or cutting off any tough bottom ends.

  3. 3. Place the asparagus in a pan. Coat them with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle salt over them.

  4. 4. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

  5. 5. Grill the asparagus for 5-10 minutes, until nicely charred and just fork tender, turning them every few minutes so that they brown relatively evenly.

  6. 6. Lorsque les pâtes et les asperges sont prêtes, les servir dans des bols chauds, saupoudrer de fromage Parmigiano Reggiano fraîchement râpé et verser un filet d’huile d’olive extra vierge aromatisée au citron.

  7. 7. Salt and pepper to taste.
